Role
Concept through delivery.
CHALLENGE
The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate sought a solution to enhance the visibility of their ADA (Air Domain Awareness) technology showcase: a multi-day, multi-vendor, drone exercise along the Northern Border. The goal of the campaign was to bring awareness to the success of the program, and to continue to receive federal funding. Due to the COVID pandemic, we were prohibited from traveling to the location, so whatever solution was conceived, it needed to be realized from 1,600 miles away.
SOLUTION
A four-part, “reality television” style video series that portrays the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and specifically the ADA Project Manager, Tim Bennett, in a heroic light. Recognizing that the primary audience (younger Senate staffers, federal employees, and so on) has likely been subjected to numerous talking head videos and PowerPoint presentations for an extended period, a high-production value was prioritized to ensure the series’ engagement and appeal. A detailed production book was created and sent to the local crew hired for the shoot.
