CHALLENGE
Live event coverage of a tabletop summit with experts from around the country sharing best practices identifying practical solutions related to information sharing, geospatial technologies, and leadership.
SOLUTION
Quickly identify the low-hanging fruit approach and run in the opposite direction. For years, this meeting had been covered with typical talking head interviews and B-roll, and while there is nothing fundamentally wrong with that approach, we were curious to see if we could conceive of something more engaging and interesting while staying locked in to the original request. Being “inspired” by the National Alliance for Public Safety GIS (Geospatial Information Services), a key partner of the summit, we decided to take key moments from each speaker’s presentation and create an animated 3D environment based on an illustration of a GIS world model, shown below.
